So You Think You May Want a Beagle?

Beagles are classified as hounds by the AKA and are originally from medieval England. Beagles are very smart dogs, and usually require very little day-to-day maintenance from their owners. Beagles typically get a long well with children, as well as other friends and family so you could easily bring your dog to social functions without the worry that he won't get along with other people or other dogs. Beagles gets very attached to their families, and other pets in the home and will often get upset when left along for long periods of time. Beagles need physical exercise, and due to their size (about 30 pounds) it's best for them to live in homes where they have a fenced yard to play in, however apartment owners can also have a beagle if they are committed to exercise. Beagles are great loyal dogs, that are wonderful for families.
