Description: The Great Dane is regal in appearance, having dignity, strength and elegance. He is the tallest of dog breeds with his great size and well-formed muscled body. Known as the friendly giant, he should show no unprovoked aggression. There are times he may have a stubborn streak, but early training will help alleviate this problem. The Dane makes a great family dog with his gentle, loyal and affectionate nature and patience with children. Adapts well to urban living if given plenty of space and exercise. Despite his large size he should not be kenneled but kept indoors as a member of the family. He truly loves the comforts of home and you may find him sleeping in your big easy chair.
