| Description: | ICARE is a nonprofit organization that provides low-cost spay/neuter assistance for pet owners of the Eastern Sierra in need; promotes the adoption of pets at the Inyo County Animal Shelter in Big Pine, California, by publishing their photos in local newspapers and on local TV stations; sponsors classroom subscriptions to the "KIND News" publication (www.nahee.com); and funds emergency veterinary care for Shelter animals through the ICARE Stitch Fund. It is the mission of Inyo County Animal Resources and Education to advocate the humane treatment of all companion animals in Inyo County, end pet overpopulation in Inyo County and promote the adoption of homeless pets from the Inyo County Animal Shelter into responsible, life-long homes. |
